It was a cluster of problems that ended with a bad movie. Which will cause disruption in how the actors act, how the feel is and so on. Re-shots was needed, and by the looks of the film, someone else directed it. The studio decided that Trank was no good, and tried to salvage the film in editing. Due to the director being the one that is the glue that holds the art together.) Also, this caused animosity between the actors and director. (Something that can either go extremely well or to hell. Since the actors could not get direction, they didn't really know what the director wanted or what the producers wanted. He apparently withdrew to either his trailer, or the director's tent (The little tent where the director and producers can watch the shots without disturbance, both visually and auditory.) This caused dismay on a corporate level, and his anger was directed over the cast and crew. When the budget was cut, Trank was apparently angry. So they cut the budget due to his increasing diverse thoughts and idea of what to incorporate in the already finished script. According to sources that has come forth, Fox was starting to get less secure in their choice of director (Josh Trank). We've seen Doom blow up heads just by looking at people, by he'll engage in fisticuffs with Reed? They made a lot of bad decisions, and a part of me feels it was mostly due to the execs at Fox more than the director and actors, and they knew they had crap with the review embargo just a day before the release. Finally, the final action scene-only real action scene, really-against Doom was an unsatisfying mess,and largely didn't make sense. The actors themselves seem to call it in after the halfway point. There were next to no action beats before the final fight, and even some cool ones seen in the trailer didn't make it to the theatrical version. Any character building after the 50 minute mark just died in the water. The whole thing with Reed running was bogus, especially since it seems he didn't test his abilities often-a flipping scientist not testing something extraordinary. We don't get to see them learn their powers.
